This machine is capable of extruding 50g or less of spaghetti for evaluation purposes. Included in the mechanical design specifications are:

• a mechanical screw drive that generates a maximum force of 6000 pounds
• a 1.5 HP direct current constant torque motor interfaced with controlling software
• Sensors that monitor extrusion pressure and temperature. Pressure and speed are controlled by the operator via a computer.
